Statement Regarding COVID-19
As you know, the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to change. Covenant's church leaders are carefully monitoring what is being advised by local, state and federal authorities. Ultimately, we continue to trust our great God and ask Him to give wisdom, to bring healing and a quick end to the spread of this sickness.
We have created a temporary task force within our church to help us navigate this situation. The CDC has recommended that groups over 50 not meet for the next eight weeks. President Trump suggested that gatherings of more than 10 people should be avoided. As of March 16, 2020, all church activities have been cancelled until further notice. This is not a decision that is made lightly. However, part of loving our neighbor well is to do all we can to protect them. We want to do our part to help slow the spread of sickness in our community and to protect those who are the most vulnerable.
We will continue to offer the livestream worship service on Sunday mornings at 10:30. Many of you tuned in this week, and we pray that you were blessed as you joined us in worship.
Your church staff and deacon body are continuing to pray for you, and we will stay in contact. If you have a need, please let us know how we can serve you. Thank you for loving each other and your neighbor well through this time.
