Day 3

Be Where You’re Wanted
The good and the bad news is that you are wanted both by Heaven and by Hell. Only the Bible tells us of a God who actually wants us around. Other accounts of a deity portray him as moody, egotistical, irritated and always on the edge of annihilating any of us at any time for no reason. God not only loves us enough to die for our sins, but enough to want an ongoing relationship. He wants you around. He can only be around holiness so He works to make you holy rather than make Himself unholy. It makes sense to stay near Him everyday where you’re wanted. Satan wants you also. Not because he values you, but because God values you. Satan cannot touch or harm God, but anything you allow him to do to you brings grief to God. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10.

God also puts within the heart of believers a desire to be around other believers. None of us are without sin, but you can love another person supernaturally because God loves you that way and loves them that way. Together we become the body of Christ. With our diversity comes a great strength. Non-believers may want you around, but it’s usually because you make them feel good about themselves or accompany them in sin…not because they unconditionally love you. Christians constantly fail, but you will not find a person in this world who has the capacity to love you unconditionally and have a genuine concern for your soul unless they are born again as a follower of Christ. Stop finding fault with churches and believers and unite with them to grow together and enjoy being the body of Christ together.

Consider and pray:
God does not dare you to come near Him. He invites you to come near. Matt. 11:28-30, James 4:8
God does not invite you to visit Him, but to ABIDE in Him.. John 15:4-7
Jesus said that people will know we are His disciples not necessarily by our love for God, but by our love for one another. John 13:35
Be a part of a biblical church where you are wanted and want to be and serve.
