Update Regarding COVID-19
Together Again — Resuming In-Person Worship at Covenant
We currently offer two in-person worship services:
9 a.m. (doors open at 8:45) — Recommended for those who are most vulnerable, including senior adults and those who are health-compromised
10:30 a.m. (doors open at 10:15)
The 10:30 service is livestreamed online for those who are ill or who prefer to worship at home.
If you are feeling ill, please do not attend an in-person service.
What to Expect:
Masks: Wearing masks while entering and within the church is not required. However, it is strongly recommended for all adults and children, except for children under age 3 and for those whose medical conditions would prohibit their use. We ask that you consider this in case anyone is unknowingly infectious and has no symptoms.
Childcare: Children are welcome, but no childcare will be provided. We encourage you to bring books or other quiet activities for your child(ren) during the approximately 45-minute service. The overflow room will be available for anyone with an infant or young child who might need to step out during the service. Adults must accompany their children at all times while in the building.
Entryways: Please enter and exit the building only through the doors at the main/breezeway entrance. Doors will be propped open to ensure contactless entry and exit. As you enter the building and sanctuary, please feel free to greet one another with smiles, waves, “air-hugs” and “air-high fives” (instead of handshakes and hugs) in order to keep one another safe from potential spread of the virus.
Hand Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer stations will be available at the main entrance and at the sanctuary doors. Please take advantage of this and clean your hands on your way in and out.
Ushers will be present in the sanctuary to provide seating directions.
Seating will be available by households and structured to allow six feet of separation between household groups.
At the conclusion of worship, ushers will dismiss the congregation in a measured way that will prevent backups and crowding during the exit.
Please assist our janitorial staff, who will be cleaning the sanctuary and restrooms after each service, by taking with you everything you brought to the service.
After the service is over, please exit the building quickly and feel free to converse with one another outdoors while maintaining a safe social distance.
Restrooms will be available on a limited basis for emergencies. An adult must accompany any child who needs to use the restroom.
Tithes and Offerings: We encourage you to utilize our online giving option or mail your tithes and offerings to the church. If you choose to bring your gift to in-person worship, please place it in the designated box as you leave the sanctuary.
Connection Groups and Wednesday night service will not take place at the church for the foreseeable future. These activities will resume when it becomes feasible to do so in a safe manner.
